Julie Masters is a witness who was under federal protection as she was due to testify in a trial against Aaron Brenner. When the house she was staying in was attacked and the federal marshal assigned to guard her murdered, Masters fled into the jungle, forcing Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett to go into the jungle to find her.
McGarrett and his team of Kono Kalakaua and Chin Ho Kelly were successful in apprehending all of the assassins who were targeting Masters and as such, Masters was able to testify against Brenner without any further interruptions.
