Samantha "Sam" Grover is the daughter of former HPD member/current Hawaii Five-0 member Lou Grover and his wife Renee Grover. She is the older sister of William Grover.
Season 4[]
In Akanahe, Samantha gets caught by her father for talking to her boyfriend on her laptop and confiscates it, sarcastically telling her to use a pencil for school work. Later, Samantha was true to his word and was writing when her father came home to return her laptop, and they talk about the hardship of leaving Chicago.
In O ka Pili'Ohana ka 'Oi, Samantha is kidnapped by Ian Wright, a millionaire hacker who is a criminal that Five-0 had to let go to save other people. Ian kidnaps Samantha and demands that Lou Grover gives him $100 million dollars in order to get his daughter back. Before she is released by Ian, Wo Fat shows up and kills Ian. He then lets Samantha go on the condition that she gives Steve McGarrett a message from him. She is then released and shows up at the Five-0 headquarters unharmed. She gives Steve the message and then leaves from there with Lou to go home to her family.
Since that day, Samantha had been having nightmares, one such was in Poina 'Ole, and her father ran into her room to comfort her.
